Frequently asked questions

Are these jigsaw puzzles really free?

Yes — every puzzle is free, runs in your browser, and needs no download or account. Your progress and best times are stored on your own device.

Where do the paintings come from?

All artworks are public-domain paintings from The Metropolitan Museum of Art (Open Access, CC0). We show the artist, date and credit line with every puzzle, and link to the original record at The Met.

How many pieces can I play with?

Three difficulties: 9, 16 or 25 pieces. Every puzzle supports both, and you can turn the timer off for a relaxed, museum-stroll pace.

What is the daily painting?

One painting from the collection takes the spotlight every day (UTC). The rotation repeats after the full collection — and any past painting stays playable in the archive.

Can I share my results?

Yes — solving a puzzle unlocks a shareable "museum poster": the painting in a golden frame with your time and moves. Save it or share it directly from your phone.
